






A native of New Orleans and
currently resides and teaches in
Kenner, LA, where small classes
provide the students with lots of
individual attention. Instruction is
offered at all levels and beginners are
always welcome.
Medium: In addition to her flowing
watercolors, she is also proficient in
oils, acrylics and pastels, and has also
explored printmaking.
Background: During her career, she
has appeared in many juried shows
and won many awards in the
southeastern states. The artist was
an exhibitor and co-owner of Studio
d'Artiste in the French Quarter for
several years. Her painting can be
found in corporate and private
collections throughout the United
States and abroad and hang in the
permanent collection of Ochsner
Foundation Hospital.
Training: Mickey has trained with a
large number of the country's leading
painters including Bud Shakelford
of Disney Studios, Ted Goerschner,
Christopher Schink, Barbara
Necchis, Shirley Roemer, Doug
Walton and Judi Betts. She also
student printmaking at the
University of New Orleans. She
has continued to participate in
workshops to keep abreast of the
latest technique and applications.
Memberships: Mickey is a member
of the Metairie Art Guild, St.
Charles Art Guild, New Orleans
Art Association, Louisiana
Watercolor Society and a charter
member of Louisiana Artists
Association. Her works can
currently be seen at her Kenner
studio by appointment. Call
